Main Character list:
* Ashley Riot: An elite soldier, Ashley transferred to the Dangerous
Criminal Task Force (Riskbreaker) unit of the Valendia Knights of the Peace when his wife and child were killed by rogues.  A serious man, Ashley has managed to survive several Riskbreaker missions despite the fact that only 30% of Riskbreakers survive even one mission...

* Sydney Losstarot: A self-proclaimed prophet and leader of the religious cult Mullenkamp, Sydney is exceptional in the fact that his prophecies actually come true.  He can see into people's pasts and minds; has magic; summons wyverns without a thought.   His mysterious power is both the obstacle and goal of some of his pursuers.

* Callo Merlose:  VKP information analysis unit, she came to Lea Monde with Ashley, but ended up getting captured by Sydney and co. to lead Ashley along.

* Romeo Guildenstern:  Elegant and Knightly, he is cold-blooded and covetous of Sydney's power despite being the Chieftan of the Crimson Blades- Knights of the Cross, military unit directly controlled by the Cardinal.

* Duke Bardoba: A man who once was a vocal voice in the politics, who now runs things from behind the scenes despite his "retirement."  His household was siezed by Mullenkamp and his child abducted.

* Joshua Bardoba:  Beloved son of Bardoba, taken hostage by Mullenkamp and taken to Lea Monde by Hardin

* Jan Rozencrantz: A VKP dispatched to support Ashley, who knows more about Lea Monde and has his own goals...

* John Hardin:  member of Mullenkamp and aide to Sydney

* Father Grissom: a Crimson Blade who seems to be a fan-fave among Japanese VS sites ;)

Short synopsis of the story theme:
Ashley is dispatched to diffuse the situation that has occured at Duke Bardoba's - while he was  away, his home was seized and his family taken hostage.  However when Ashley arrives the Crimson Blades have already moved, and disrupted everything.  He goes into the Duke's home and confronts Sydney-- but despite shooting the beautiful cult leader in the heart, the boy lives, and flees to Lea Monde, leaving Ashley to deal with a Wyvern.  Ashley pursues Sydney down to the dead city, where Sydney challenges him with words and luxuriates in this game.  How is it that Sydney knows ashley's past?  And where is he being led?  And why is it that in the depths of Lea Monde, strange skills return to Ashley's memory?

While this is a video game the plot is complex and intriguing and more than opportunistic for any yaoi fan. Just look at their costumes for one thing; for another, the chemistry between Ashley and Sydney is so undeniable that even straight guys have been known to comment on it while playing the game ;)

Hardin x Sydney - They're close, and Hardin obviously admires Sydney

Guildenstern x Sydney - if i wanted to be a pervert about a certain aspect of the story.

Rozencrantz x Grissom - I can't explain this-- I saw it in a doujinshi and well, I about died laughing because it involved Rozencrantz trying to use his odd costume as a seduction for Grissom
