Short synopsis of the story theme

Flame of Recca is a fighting anime through and through.  Little time is
given to serious aspects like...plot, though there is a storyline that gives
the anime a path to follow.  Recca is the last in a line of ninjas who can
use Fire as a weapon.  He falls for a girl named Yanagi and is eventually
forced to fight in an arena against a bunch of other teams.  His teammates
are Fuuko (who uses wind), Domon (who uses Earth or strength), Mikagami
(uses water), and eventually a boy named Kogenai (who uses a weapon that
transforms).

What are the potential slash couples and why?

Appealing Couples: Mikagami x Recca, Mikagami x Kurei (the villian),
Mikagami x Koganei (which I've seen done quite well).  Mikagami is the
general slasher in FOR fics, mainly because he is the series' token
bishonen.  Kurei is also bishoneny in his right.  Kurei x Raiha fics work
well too.

Some people may have squicks over anything involving Koganei, as it is
somewhat shotakon, but it's been done great in the past.
